J&K all set to host first ever Autocross Event

SRINAGAR, May 24: J&K Motorsports Federation (JKMSF) is all set and ready to host its maiden Autocross in June 2023 in which drivers from eight States will participate.
“The event will be a significant boost to un-explored motorsport scenes in J&K,” said Secretary Media for Jammu, Arslan Khan Afridi.
Big brands like Redbull, IFFCO Tokio, Roop Automotives, Godrej, Radio Mirchi, Backyard Customs and others will join as partners and supporters in the event.
The first event is scheduled for June 3 and 4 at Auereum Grand Jammu followed by the second event on June 17 and 18 in Srinagar.
“Drivers from eight States will be participating in JK AUTOX 2023 which will give a major push to motorsports and tourism in J&K,” Secretary Media for Kashmir, Sajid Wani stated.
Apart from this the event will generate avenue along with expeditions and safe platforms for motorsports enthusiasts from the UT.
“The event will also witness participation from female Motorsports Enthusiasts of J&K,” said Dhemant Vir Singh.
The Federation will be hosting the maiden Autocross race, labeled as ‘JK AUTOX’, in the twin cities of Jammu and in Srinagar on June 2023.
“JKMSF also plans to introduce Go Karting, Safe Biking Competitions, Expeditions and Out Landing OTR Camps into J&K Motorsports scenario which will not only be first in the Union Territory but will also be significant initiative to stop the misuse of sports and rash driving in the name of motorsports,” Councilor of the Federation, Asim Khan informed.
