JAMMU, Jan 23: Jammu Eleven Cricket Club (JECC) thrashed Shine Star Cricket Club Kot Bhalwal by a huge margin of 111 runs in the ongoing 8th Baba Santokh Nath T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Pt Prem Nath Stadium, Smailpur, here.
Shine Star won the toss and decided to field first.
Batting first, Jammu Eleven scored a mammoth total of 231 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Romi made 94 runs in just 39 balls by hitting six sixes and five fours, while Kaka scored splendid 77 runs in 47 balls, studded with four sixes and three fours. Mannu also chipped in with 24 runs off 13 balls. Varun took 3 wickets, while Rohit and Gourav bagged 2 and onwe wicket respectively.
In reply, Shine Star Club was bundled out for 120 runs in 20 overs. Jagdeep was the top scorer with 35 runs, while Arjun and Panku contributed with 22 and 21 runs respectively.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Dasal Cricket Club will take on Gorkha Cricket Club.
