JDS Gurukul celebrates Annual Day

KATHUA, Feb 9: JDS Gurukul today celebrated Annual Day with pomp and show.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Managing Director, J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward classes Development Corporation was the chief guest while Dr Sulakshna Mengi – noted Pediatrician of the town and Sanjay Sehgal, Headmaster of Government Middle School Khokhyal were the guests of honour on the occasion.
At the outset, the students of Gurukul presented Ganesh Vandana, followed by colourful extravaganza devoted to National integration, valour of our soldiers and Swachhta Abhiyan. The dance items of tiny tots were acclaimed by the audience .
Joginder Sharma, chairman of the School presented the progress report of the school.
The chief guest in his speech appreciated the academic achievements of school students and wished more splendid achievements by the Gurukul students in the times to come. He also appreciated Sanjay Sehgal who has been conferred best teacher award for keeping higher academic standards in schools where he remains posted.
Later the meritorious students were awarded with medals and momentous. The programme culminated with the recital of National Anthem.
