JAMMU, July 26: Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC) thrashed Milan Cricket Club (MCC) with 7 wickets in a thrilling match played today at KC Sports Club in 1st KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, MCC scored 92 runs in 19.5 overs by losing all wickets. Rakesh Zuthsi scored highest 34 runs in 36 balls for MCC. For JCC, Vishal bowled brilliantly and took 3 important wickets by conceding only 14 runs in his 4-over spell while Sanjay Koul also scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, JCC easily chased the target in 15.3 overs by losing 3 wickets and thus won the match by 7 wickets. Vishal made 47 runs for the team while Ramesh Miskeen scored 31 runs. For MCC, Raju scalped 2 wickets while Ankur took 1 wicket. Vishal was adjudged as man of the match for his impressive performance with the ball as well as bat.
The match was officiated by Sunny Tomar and Faiz as umpires whereas Rehan Rana acted as scorer. The tournament is being organized by Krish Sports & Event.
