JCC Bantalab wins 4th Bhalwal Premier League

JAMMU, July 17: A much awaited final match of the 4th Bhalwal Premier league was held in Govt. School Bhalwal ground, here today. Sarpanch Rajdev Singh Jamwal organized this mega cricket  tournament from June 7 to July 17, 2017, with an aim to promote local talent and provide platform to the budding players of Jammu province.
Rajveer Singh, President Yuva Rajput Sabha J&K, Baba Chanchal Singh and other officials also graced the occasion and witnessed the final match between Josh Cricket Club Bantalab and Raipur Cricket Club.
Due to bad weather, the T-20 match was reduced to 12 overs a side.
Earlier, JCC won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, JCC scored a modest total of 132 runs for loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 12 overs.
In reply, RCC managed to score 81 runs by losing all their wickets in 11 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 51 runs.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajveer Singh said that 64 teams drawn from across Jammu province  participated in the tournament.
The winners  were presented a cash prize of Rs 21,000, while the runners-up team received a cash prize of Rs 11,000.
Rafiq of JCC Bantalab team was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant performance in the final match, while Happy was adjudged as man of the series for outstanding performance of 128 runs and 12 wicketst.
