JAMMU, Jan 10: Jammu Warriors Cricket Club registered a commanding 247-run victory over Sahaj Cricket Club in the Rajinder Saini & Sandeep Singh Memorial Under-16 (T-30) Cricket Tournament being played at Parade Ground, here today.
After winning the toss, Sahaj Cricket Club decided to field first. Batting first, Jammu Warriors put up a dominant performance, scoring a massive 282 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 30 overs. Vikram Aditya was the top scorer with a fluent 39 runs, which included eight boundaries. He received good support from Arnav Singh, who chipped in with 36 runs and Veer Pratap, who contributed 35 runs. Deepak Bhagat was the most successful bowler for Sahaj CC, claiming an impressive five wickets for 39 runs.
In reply, Sahaj Cricket Club failed to counter the disciplined bowling attack of Jammu Warriors and were bowled out for just 35 runs in 12.2 overs. Hridhan Choudhary was declared Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling spell of five wickets for just five runs in four overs.
Tomorrow has been declared a rest day in the tournament. The next match will be played on Monday between Super Striker Cricket Club and Mahadev Cricket Club.
