JAMMU, Jan 16: In a rare and inspiring sporting achievement, Jammu siblings Sidhani Singh and Madhavendra Singh Sambyal have earned selection to represent India at the 2nd Asian Junior Soft Tennis Championship, scheduled from February 3 to 8, 2026, at Harvest Tennis Academy, Punjab.
As per handout issued the duo secured their spots following stellar performances at the national selection trials in Ahmedabad, outplaying top contenders from across the country. Sidhani Singh, already a prominent name on the national circuit, has previously represented India at the International Soft Tennis Championship in China and boasts an impressive medal haul at national competitions. Her younger brother, Madhavendra Singh Sambyal, has emerged as a rising talent with medals at the Senior National Championships, Masters Cup and silver at the School National Games, in addition to being the state gold medalist and top seed for J&K this year.
According to association sources, six players from Jammu & Kashmir have been selected for the international event.
