Jammu Police organizes Badminton Tournament under CAP

JAMMU, Feb 6: J&K Police continued its pledge to promote sports activities in the State, organized Badminton Tournament under Civic Action Programme (CAP), which was inaugurated at Chand Palace Badyal Brahmana in R S Pura, here today.
MLA Suchetgarh, Sham Lal Choudhary and MLA R S Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat declared the Tournament open in an impressive function, which was attended by prominent citizens, Sarpanchs, Panchs, members of Brick Kiln, Rice Mill, Transport and Market Associations. Under this initiative, District Police Jammu is making allout efforts to channelize the energies of youths to positive direction and create awareness about the drug menace to save them from falling prey to the hands of drug peddlers viz-a-viz to make the society free from drug menace.
Earlier, in the inaugural match, Sidhu Club defeated MMS Public School by (5-0), while in another match, JK Police Public School defeated Paras Club by (3-0).
SDPO R S Pura, SHO P/S Bishnah, R S Pura and Miran Sahib were present on the occasion.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of S Randheer Singh, SP Headquarters, Jammu.
