Jammu hosts prestigious course for handball coaches

JAMMU, Nov 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association will hold prestigious technical course for handball coaches of India, here from tomorrow.
This 5-day long Course which will conclude on November 11, 2012 has been allotted by International Olympic Committee to India and the Indian Olympic Association on the request of Handball Federation of India assigned it to Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association.
In the Indian handball history, it is only such second course allotted to India, the first course was conducted way back before 15 years at Patiala in Punjab.
Mohd Khaled Hammouda, president Egypt Handball Federation will be the technical expert of the Course.
Over 60 coaches drawn from across the Country will be attending the Course, out of which 8 coaches will be from the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to S M Bali, Secretary General Handball Federation of India, the theory classes will be held at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground, while the practical classes will be held at Mini Stadium Parade, Jammu.
Earlier, Mohd Khaled Hammouda was received by SM Bali, Ashwani Kumar Raina and Vivek Khajuria today.
