JAMMU, Nov 6: The Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 girls of Jammu District won the overall championship in their respective groups of the Divisional Level Inter-District Athlete Meet, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at University grounds, here.
Over 137 athletes drawn from the seven districts of Jammu division participated in the meet, which was held under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu.
Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, was the chief guest.
Others present on the occasion included Tirath Ram DYSS Officer Jammu, Romesh Chander Sharma, Kanchan Bala, Pushpa Sharma, Manorma Sharma, Sarita Pandha, Kiran Jyoti, Sher Singh, Rakesh Kakkar, Jaswant Singh, Ajit Singh, Tilak Raj and Rattan Lal.
Vote of thanks was presented by Sunita Goel, while Rakesh Kakkar conducted proceedings of the programme.
