Jammu Green lifts Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, June 5: Jammu Green thrashed Jammu Blue in the final match of Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Tournament, which concluded today.
Batting First, Jammu Green scored 277 in 40 overs, which the Jammu Blue failed to chase and could score only 114 by losing all wickets.
Aarav Mahajan and Dikshant were declared best batsmen while Adit Paul adjudged as best bowler of the tournament. The Man of the Series went to Sachin and Sadiq Hussain Malik. Vinod and Sandeep Manchanda were umpires of the event.
State BJP vice-president, Yudhvir Sethi, was the chief guest on the occasion. DySp, Sudershan Mehta, was guest of honour. The chief guest presented trophies to winning and runners up teams. Female Player from North Zone, Sanjana, was specially honoured on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi called upon sports authorities to promote sports among the youth of the State. He said that sportspersons from the State have proved their talent at National and international levels and need of the hour is to give required encouragement to talented youngsters.
The tournament was organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club in collaboration with J&K Cricket Association.
