JAMMU, Oct 1: Jammu division senior open selection events started today at Nek Hotel, below Gummat, here.
Seven players from this event and seven players from Kashmir division will participate in state event next month. Top eight players selected from state championship will participate in Senior National to be held at Jammu in December.
Selection events are being held under the supervision of state sports council.
Events were inaugurated by Atul Kumar Gupta, President All J&K Chess Association in presence of Baldev Raj and Raj Kumar.
