SRINAGAR, Oct 19: Maintaining supremacy, Jammu District emerged overall champion by winning titles in all age groups in the Inter District State Level Judo Championship, which concluded at Bakshi Stadium here, recently.
Jammu District team accompanied by Varinder Sharma, Physical Education Teacher and Judo coach won Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 girls titles in this Judo extravaganza, which was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of its Director General, Jehangir Lone and under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Srinagar.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu District boys also maintained their supremacy by winning overall Champio-nship in Judo all age groups held at Kathua earlier.
The competition was part of annual calendar of activities of the Department of Youth Services and Sports to select the team for forthcoming National School Games to be held at New Delhi in the month of December-2015.
