JAMMU, Nov 11: The day-long Jammu District Senior Boys and Girls Judo Championship culminated at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today organized by Judo Association Jammu & Kashmir under the banner of J&K Sports Council.
Suraj Sharma, General Secretary, Judo Association J&K, was the chief guest who distributed medals and certificates to the winners. Bouts were officiated by senior Judo coaches of the J&K Sports Council. Prominent attendees included Arshi Nad, Manager Indoor Sports Complex, Vikas Dogra, Senior Judo Coach and Rakesh Sharma. Manish Chatwal served as Organising Secretary.
In the girls’ category, winners were: 48 Kg – Manya (1), Lakshita (2), Sumakhya & Satya (3); 52 Kg – Palak (1), Samreeti (2); 57 Kg – Yashika (1), Priya (2); 63 Kg – Nirali Sharma (1); 70 Kg – Aishwarya (1); 78 Kg – Anshika (1), Ikshita (1) and Vartika (2).
In the boys’ category, winners included: 60 Kg – Eshan (1), Sumit (2), Aditya & Daksh (3); 66 Kg – Virbhadra Singh (1); 73 Kg – Akshay Sharma (1); 81 Kg – Shashank (1), Rudra Manhas (2); 90 Kg – Lakhan Baru (1), Anmol Bhat (2); 100 Kg – Danish Sharma (1), Sajan Sharma (2); +100 Kg – Ujwal (1).
