JAMMU, Dec 28: Jammu District Karate Association, affiliate unit of Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK) and recognized by J&K State Sports Council held its meeting, under the chairmanship of Ambedkar Gupta, president AKAJK and elected its new office bearers, here today.
The elected office bearers included Vishal Sharma, president; Sanjay Kumar and Umesh Rekhi, vice presidents; Manoj Mehra, general secretary; Amandeep Singh and Ganesh Gupta, joint secretaries, Shaveta Gupta, treasurer.
The meeting among other members of the Association was attended by Brijesh Bhau, vice-president AKAJK and Naresh Chander, joint secretary AKAJK.
The other members present in the meeting were Farhat Zari, Balbir Singh, Rohit Thakyal and Rajesh Kumar.
The newly elected team presented the vote of thanks and decided to hold the District Karate Championship at M.A.Stadium Jammu in the last week of January, 2015.
