JAMMU, Nov 22: Jammu District Judo Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association got underway at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The Championship was declared open by Dr Ashutosh Sharma, secretary J&K Olympic Association and chairman Affiliation Committee of IOA in a well attended function.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were RC Thakur, Virender Dogra, Shiv Kumar, Rohit Gupta, Ravi Singh, Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia, Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, Sanjay Khajuria, Rajeev Sharma, Rohit Sadhotra and Ranjot Singh.
The Championship is being held under the overall supervision of Vikas Gupta, secretary J&K Judo Association and joint secretary Judo Federation of India, under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
The gold medalists in various age groups and weight categories included, Manik Singh, Shubham Kumar, Vipul, Ansh Choudhary, Rudra Partap, Ishant Pandita, Arihant, Saksham Charak, Ruhan, Agastya, Pranav, Om Billoria, Krish Bhat, Arshan, Anurad Bharadwaj, Pratigya Kashyap, Manvi Thakur, Seerat Shah, Prizam Singh, Aditi Razdan, Viraj, Utkarsh Kesar, Ziya, Sanvi Koul, Sahina, Aarna, Manvi Chib, Parul, Nirali, Ayashi.
