Jammu District Hockey C’ship underway

JAMMU, Dec 12: The Jammu District Hockey Championship 2025, organized by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, witnessed thrilling semifinals at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, Jammu.

As per handout issued, in the first semi-final, Bandhurakh Hockey Club defeated Sahil Hockey Club by 4-2 in a closely contested match. For Sahil HC, Gurjeet Singh scored in the 14th minute and Damanpreet Singh in the 47th minute. Bandhurakh HC’s goals came from Taranpreet Singh (17th), Sonu (18th), Rohit (19th) and Sunil (38th), all from field goals.

In the second semifinal, Guru Nanak Hockey Club thrashed Young Star HC by 7-0. Goals were scored by Sukhchinder Singh (2, 9 minutes), Saksham Sharma (5, PC), Mankiran Singh (8), Karan (18, PC), Tejvir Singh (25) and Smeer (29).

Dr. Taran Singh, General Secretary Hockey J&K and veteran player Iqbal Singh Allah attended as chief guest and guest of honour. Finals between Bandhurakh HC and Guru Nanak HC will be held on December 14 at 2 pm.
