* GHSS Garhi to take on GHSS Udhampur in Kabaddi summit clash today

JAMMU, Aug 23: Inter District and Zone Level Competitions in various disciplines, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports were played at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter District Divisional Level Competitions in the disciplines of Chess and Badminton for girls under all age group concludes at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium.
In under-14 Badminton final, Jammu beat Kishtwar by 2-0 sets, whereas in under-17 final, Udhampur smashed Poonch by 2-1 sets. In under-19 final, Jammu outplayed Samba by straight 2-0 sets.
In under-14 Chess final, Arushi of Jammu beat Rashi of Jammu, whereas in under-17 final, Avni Gupta of Jammu beat Ananya of Udhampur.
Inter Zonal District Level Competition in the discipline of Hockey, Basketball and Cricket for under-19 boys were played here today. In the summit clash, New National HSS Tali Morh beat APS Kaluchak by 2-1 goals.
In Basketball, APS Kaluchak beat MHAC Nagbani by 20-09 points in the first semis, whereas in the second semi-final, Jodhamal Public School smashed SOS by 21-05 points. APS Kaluchak will now lock horns with Jodhamal Public School in the summit clash tomorrow.
In Cricket, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura zone defeated Bishnah-Arnia zone by 13 runs. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura scored 104 runs by losing 7 wickets in stipulated 15 overs. Satyam, Neelambhar and Aman scored 30, 17 and 13 runs respectively. From Bishnah-Arnia side, Sahil scalped 3 wickets, while Arun took 2 wickets. While chasing the target, Bishnah-Arnia zone made 91 runs by losing all wickets in 12.3 overs. Vikesh and Amit scored 53 and 12 runs respectively. From Akhnoor-Chowki Choura side, Goutam took 3 wickets, while Vinay scalped 2 wickets.
SAMBA: Inter School Zone Level Tournament in the discipline of Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi for under-19 girls concluded here today.
In Kho-Kho final, Samba beat Ghagwal by 4 points, whereas in Volleyball final, Purmandal defeated Vijaypur by 2-0 sets. In Kabaddi final, Ramgarh lost to Ghagwal by 6 points.
KATHUA: Inter District Division Level Tournament in the discipline of Judo for boys and girls under All Age Groups (AAG) got underway at Sports Stadium, here today. District Jammu emerged champion in under-14 and under-17 boys’ category, while the competitions of under-19 category will be held tomorrow.
In under-14 category, Manoj Kumar of Kathua routed Aditya singh of Jammu in below 20 kg category, whereas in below 30 kg, Shivam Bloria of Jammu smashed Irshad of Kathua, in below 35 kg, Tahir Hussain of Kathua registered win over Ayush Raina of Jammu, in below 40 kg, Arun Sharma of Jammu outplayed Vishal Kumar of Kathua, in below 45 kg, Munish Sharma of Jammu thrashed Vishal of Kathua, in below 50 kg, Suraj Partap of Jammu defeated Rahul Choudhary of Kathua and in above 50 kg, Varun Sharma of Jammu thrashed Ajay Kumar of Reasi.
In under-17 category, Vipul Verma of Kathua defeated Parvez of Reasi in below 40 kg, whereas in below 45 kg, Rohit Rajdan of Jammu thrashed Ravinder of Kathua, in below 50 kg, Areen Kotwal of Jammu defeated Liaqat Ali of Kathua, in below 55 kg, Shivam Sharma of Jammu smashed Arif of Reasi, in below 60 kg, Ketan Arora of Jammu defeated Sonu Sharma of Kathua, in below 65 kg, Ayush Pandita of Jammu defeated Vikas of Kathua, in below 70 kg, Param Veer of Jammu crushed Rahul Chib of Kathua and in above 70 kg, Jiteshwar of Jammu crushed Varun Partap of Kathua.
UDHAMPUR: Inter District Level School Tournament for under-19 boys and girls in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Wrestling were played at Sports Stadium, here.
In Kabaddi (boys), GHSS Garhi will lock horns with GHSS Udhampur in the final tomorrow. Earlier in the first semis, GHSS defeated GHSS Udhampur by 10 points, where in the second semi-final, GHSS Ramnagar thrashed GHSS Khoon by 12 points.
In Kho-Kho (boys), GHSS Garhi will take on GHSS Boys in the summit clash tomorrow. Earlier in the first semifinal, GHSS Garhi defeated GHSS Barolla by 7 points, whereas in the second semis, GHSS Boys defeated GHSS Chenani by 6 points.
REASI: A tournament for under-19 girls in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball was organized at General Zorawar Sports Stadium, here.
In Kho-Kho final, GHSS Panassa registered win over GGHSS Reasi by one point with the score of 13-12. In Kabaddi final, GHSS Panassa lost to GHSS Panthal by 24-18 points. In Volleyball, GHSS Pouni defeated GHSS Reasi by straight 2-0 sets.
