*Nityam, Vasu share ‘Man of the Match’ title

JAMMU, Oct 16: Jammu-B registered win over Jammu-A by first inning lead in the third test match of the Diwali Cup Under-12 2-Day Matches Cricket Tournament, organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC), Jammu at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here today.
Earlier, resuming the play from 91 for 5, Jammu-B added 75 runs to take the total score to 166 runs by losing the remaining five wickets in 50.5 overs. Arjun Parth made half century off 96 balls, while Nityam scored 29 runs in 74 balls and Arin made 23 runs in 41 balls.
From Jammu-A side, Vasu Majahan was the pick of the bowler, who scalped 5 wickets by conceding 37 runs in 15 overs, while Aarav took 2 wickets by giving 4 runs in 4 overs and Prabhjot clinched one wicket by conceding 19 runs in 6 overs.
After chasing the lead of 34 runs, Jammu-A declared the second inning at 184 runs by losing 6 wickets in 45 overs. Aarav played a splendid inning of 48 runs off 106 balls, while Gorang scored 12 runs in 29 balls and Nityam chipped in 10 runs in 22 balls.
From Jammu-B side, Nityam clinched 3 wickets by giving 17 runs in 7 overs, Karmanya took one wicket by conceding 20 runs in 10 overs and Pujara claimed one wicket by giving 26 runs in 11 overs.
In the second inning, Jammu-B made 65 runs by losing 2 wickets in 12 overs. Akshit Gandral scored unbeaten 49 runs, while Arin made 4 runs and Arjun Path made 1 run.
Jammu-B won the match by first inning lead. Nityam and Vasu Mahajan shared the title of Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Vinod Kandyara, while Rahul maintained the scoreboard.
The Championship is being played under the supervision of Sunil Kumar, Coach, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy.
