SRINAGAR, July 3: Jammu (A) crushed Majid Sports by ten goals to zero (10-0) to advance in the 14th J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament 2012, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police, under Civic Action Programme, here.
Meanwhile in other five matches of the day, DFA Baramulla trounced Jahangir Sports by (2-0), Novelty Blue drubbed PAG Office by (4-1), DFA Budgam scripted a narrow win over Young Maharaja by (8-7), Maharaja Sports outplayed Shaheen Sports by (3-1) and DFA Sopore blanked Syed Taj-Ud-Din by (2-0).
Today’s matches among others were witnessed by K Rajendra Kumar, Director General of Police, J&K, Rouf-Ul-Hassan, IGP Armed, organizing secretary of the tournament, SA Hamid, DIG IRP Kashmir, Ravinder Singh Jamwal, CO IRP 11th Bn and other Police Officers and the office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.
Tomorrow’s fixture: Jehlum Sports will face PDC (B), Raheem Greens Solina will take on DFA Anantnag, J&K SRTC will lock horns with DFA Baramulla and Kashmir Mughal will meet Late Muqbool.
