JAMMU, Sept 8: Jammu Athletes Club (JAC) in course of its 2nd Edition of Jammu Half Marathon to be held on November 10 organised the 3rd Promo Run today.
The run began from Channi Himmat covering the main road of Sector 1-A Extension crossing the sectors 3, 2, 6 towards the green belt park adjoining the national highway.
In this drive, the runners from different age groups participated. The run was supported by Morning Walkers Groups, with the clear and louder message of “Clean India” and “Say No to Drugs and Yes to Sports”.
The participants engaged with high zeal, optimism and enthusiasm making the drive the successful.
The promo run functioned with the theme of Clean India for which the participants followed plogging that is running along with equipping themselves with gloves and bags to collect the garbage, litter and rubbish from the streets.
This engagement spread a message of cleanliness among the one’s who witnessed these zealous participants. It laid an impact on people of various age groups of the area to be more sensitised and informed about environmental consciousness. In totality the event met with huge success and appreciation from masses of Jammu.
