J&K Police XI beats AG’s XI; Maharaja FC holds Arco FC to 2-2 draw

SRINAGAR, Oct 19: J&K Police XI registered emphatic win over AG’s XI by 2 goals to nil, while the match between Kashmir Maharaja FC and Arco FC ended with 2-2 goals draw in the ongoing Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The first match was played between Kashmir Maharaja FC and Arco FC. Both the teams enthralled the audience by their spectacular moves. The first goal was scored by Adeel Tariq of Kashmir Maharaja FC in 20th minute, while Bilal Ahmad of Maharaja FC consolidated their lead in the 30th minute. The 1st half ended with 2:0 in favour of Maharaja FC.
In the 2nd half Arco FC kept their morale high and started attacking on Maharaja Goalpost and succeeded to secure the first goal in the 53rd minute through Bismark, while in the 74th minute Arco FC made a dramatic move through Shayik Ahmad scored 2nd goal. Both the teams tried to dominate but could not find the net till the final whistle. Thus the match ended in a 2-2 Goal draw.
The 2nd match was played between J&K Police XI and AG’s XI. The match started with a brisk note with both the teams trying to take the lead in the initial moments. They made attacks and counter attacks but could not find the net. The half ended in a goalless draw. In the 2nd half, it was the 47th minute when Faisal of J&K Police scored a goal for his team. After trailing one goal AG’s players launched several counter attacks, but the goalkeeper of the Police team ensured no damage was done. In the dying moments Faisal of the Police team doubled the lead by scoring another goal and won the match by 2-0 goals.
In the ongoing 2nd round of ‘A’ Division Annual League Football Tournament at Gindun Ground Rajbagh, the match between Yahya Warsi FC and Al-Ahlam FC remained 1-1 goal draw.
