ITBP Excursion tour of border area Chushul students concludes

LEH, Aug 23: On successful completion of 10 days Bharat Darshan tour organized by ITBP 47th Battalion for the students of Indo-China border Area of Chushul an impressive Flag in ceremony was held on Thursday at Kumbha Hall, 24 Battalion.
On the occasion, ITBP DIG Ladakh Jaipal Yaday was the chief guest on the occasion.
The tour was conducted by 47th Bn, ITBP August 13 to August 23, 2018, under its civic action programme.
As many as 17 students alongwith two teachers from Government High School Chushul located on the Indo-China border participated in the tour from Leh to ITBP Mountaineering & Skiing institute, Auli (Uttrakhand).
During the tour students of Govt High School Chushul visited various historical places and cities which included Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden in Chandigarh, Rishikesh, M & SI Auli, Red Fort, Rajiv Gandhi memorial stadium and Zoo in New Delhi.
The Excursion tour was conducted by ITBP under the guideline of MHA Govt of India with the aim to upgrade the education level & familiarize the   students of border/remote villages with various historical places as well as other parts of India.
DIG in his address congratulated the team for successful completion of tour said that its always challenging to handle kids in group on tour.
“I’m delighted to know from their feedback that kids enjoyed the tour and efforts are being made to improve the living standard of people residing on border areas as border area population is very important for ITBP and force is ever ready to help them in whatever possible way” said DIG adding that ITBP have been trying to help the order residents since its deployment in 1966.
He said that such tour will also encourage the students to join ITBP forces as they know the border area better than anyone else and assured to conduct such tour in future as well. He also mentioned about successful conduct of highest football tournament conducted successful in Chushul where all have taken part in it.
He also informed that recently he has appraised the Union Secretary Finance GoI to construct an Ice Hockey Stadium at Chushul area to organise many tournament in future.
