Ishar Club outplays MCC to enter finals

JAMMU, Feb 12: Ishar Cricket Club defeated Muslim Cricket Club (MCC) by 53 runs to enter finals of the ongoing 3rd Parmodh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Mandal Cricket Club at playfield Mandal, near here.
Now, Ishar Club will take on Atman Cricket Club in the summit clash.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Ishar Club scored a fighting total of 147 runs in 19.1 overs. Jaswinder was the top scorer with 38 runs off 31 balls, while Sahil Gupta, Sahil Sharma and Soumay Jain scored 23, 18 and 11 runs to the total respectively. For MCC, Saleem and Nazim captured 3 wickets each, while Muneer claimed one.
In reply, MCC bundled out for a paltry total of 94 runs in 18.1 overs, thus lost the match by 53 runs. Nasim scored 27 runs, while Tauqeer and Mudasir contributed 20 and 12 runs to the total respectively. For Ishar Club, speedsters Soumay Jain and Sahil Sharma bagged 3 wickets each, while Pavit Singh Ishar and Sourab Chopra claimed 2 wickets each. Sahil Sharma and Soumay Jain were adjudged joint winners of man of the match award.
The match was officiated by Arun and Dev as umpires, while Sunny Sharma was the scorer. The tournament is being held under the supervision of GS Michael, organizing secretary of the tournament.
