JAMMU, Dec 11:Inter-school District Level (ISDL) selection trials were conducted by Department of Youth Services and Sports in disciplines of Carrom, Yoga, Softball and Baseball of Girls under AAG at Government Boys High School Jammu cantonment, here today.
The aim of the selection trials was to select the best players for next level of tournaments. All the organising committee members and technical officials were present during the selection cum competitions.
Students from different schools of district Jammu are participating in these selection trials.
In Carrom (under 14 yrs singles), Sonia of GMS Shilipur Kullian bagged 1st place while Kajal of GMS Rakhbandu secured 2nd position, whereas in Carrom (under-14yrs doubles), Anjali and Sonia of GHS Sohjana clinched 1st place while Nandani and Kajal of GMS Rakhbandu bagged 2nd place.
In Carrom (under-17 yrs singles) Nisha Kumari of GGHS Sohanjana stood 1st and Priya Devi of GHS Surechak stood 2nd, whereas in Carrom under-17yrs doubles, Sujata Bhagat and Priya Devi of GHS Surechak won 1st position and Nisha Kumari & Isha Sharma of GHS Sohanjana bagged 2nd position.
In Carrom (under-19 yrs singles), Ramta Devi from GHSS Mandal got 1st place and Manvi Devi of GHSS Jindrah secured 2nd place, whereas in Carrom under-19 yrs doubles, Ramata Devi & Sonali from GHSS Mandal clinched 1st position and Manvi Devi & Priya Sharma from GHSS Jindrah got 2nd position.
Sukhdev Raj DYSSO Jammu was the chief guest while Veena Gupta, Headmaster GBHS Jammu Cantonment was the guest of honour of the event whereas the trials were held under the overall supervision of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman.
