IRP organises debate competition

JAMMU, Mar 14:  IRP-14th Battalion organised debate competition on the topic, ‘Conservation and Protection of Endangered Species’ under the ‘Civic Action Programme’ and close supervision of PHQ/APHQ/ZAPHQ-Jammu to pay homage to freedom fighters, here today.
The competition was held at Government Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat, here in which both boys and girls participated.
Participants among both boys and girls were judged by jury members and under each category, the winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 5000, 3000 and 1000 respectively for securing 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions, while other participants were awarded with certificates of participation.
Speaking on the occasion, Anita Sharma- Commandant IRP-14th Bn advised the officers/officials as well as School management to take part in all such social activities apart from their routine curriculum.
Shahnaz Choudhary, Principal of the host School thanked the dignitaries and participants for sparing their valuable time to make the event successful.
The event ended with a vote of thanks, presented by Raja Adil Hamid Ganaie- Deputy Commandant IRP-14th Bn.
Two minutes of silence was also observed for paying homage to the martyrs.
