JAMMU, Apr 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports organized an Intramural Competition in the two schools of Satwari Zone, under the overall supervision of Sroman Dogra, zonal physical education officer, Satwari, here today.
Government High School Satwari conducted the tournament in the disciplines of kho-kho and kabaddi, under the supervision of School Headmistress Kulwant Kour, while the matches were officiated by teacher Manju and physical education teacher Gurbachan Singh.
In kho-kho boys, Gandhi Nagar House trounced Tagore House by 3 points in a close contest in the Summit clash to lift the title, while in earlier matches, Gandhi Nagar defeated Nehru House by 5 points, while Ambedkar outplayed Tagore House by 8 points.
Gandhi Nagar House also lifted the kabaddi title by defeating Tagore House by 5 points, while in other matches, Tagore defeated Nehru by 2 points and Gandhi Nagar drubbed Ambedkar by 8 points.
Meanwhile, Intramural Meet was also held at Middle School Rakhwala, under the supervision of Headmaster Jasbir Singh and the matches were officiated by physical education teacher, Vishal Singh.
In kho-kho boys, Gandhi Nagar House beat Tagore House by 14 points, while in kabaddi boys, Nehru House got better of Bhagat Singh House by 10 point.
In kho-kho girls, Bhagat House defeated Gandhi House by 6 points, while in kabaddi girls, Nehru House prevailed over Tagore House by 11 points.
