UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur organized Intra College Volleyball (Men) Tournament 2024 here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of the college who was chief guest of the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of the sports committee and motivated the students to excel in the field of sports.
A total of four teams participated in the tournament. First match was played between Raman Team and Shivaji Team. Raman team defeated Shivaji Team with a set score of 2-0. Another match was held between Ashoka and Tagore Teams, wherein Ashoka team won the game with a score of 2-0. Both the matches ended in neck to neck competition and finally team Raman and Ashoka booked their places in the final match.
The students who played exceptionally well were Nasir Beg, Ansh Sharma, Aryan, Ankush Kumar, Ajay Singh, Neshad Ali, Kapil and Rishav Singh. Final match between the two teams will be played on Monday.
