JAMMU, Sept 8: Trikuta Degree College organised one day Intra College seminar on “Environmental Degradation”, in which students participated actively.
On the occasion, Seva Dass Digra, Retd Senior Deputy Director General, Geological Survey of India, was the chief guest, who along with Suman Sharma, first lady of the Shri Sai Charitable Trust, inaugurated the seminar.
While speaking, Seva Dass Digra, stressed upon adopting pro-active approach to reduce harmful effects of pollutants and conservation of environment. He asked the students to opt for sustainable development and spread awareness among the society.
Dr Roop Lal Sharma, Chairman, Shri Sai Charitable Trust, laid special emphasis on the role of organizations like NCC and encouraged the cadets to make their active participation in such activities.
Dr Gayatri Gupta, Principal of the college, Shamsher Singh, coordinator, Eco-Club, Meenakshi Verma, Rupali Gupta and Manisha, members, Eco-Club were also present.
