Int’l Biodiversity Day celebrated at MIER College

JAMMU, May 22: The Environment Unit of MIER College of Education participated in a Painting and Poster Making Competition organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Biodiversity Council on International Biodiversity Day on the theme “Acting Locally for Global Impact.” Students from the School of Education (SOE) and School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSSH) showcased creativity and environmental awareness through paintings and posters promoting biodiversity conservation and sustainable living.
The entries were evaluated by Dr Nishta Rana, Head, SOE, and Dr Monika Bajaj, Head, SSSH, while the results were announced by Dr Bharti Tondan, Dy Head, SOE Ikmancheet Kour secured first prize, followed by Jahnavi Proch in second place and Pallavi Sharma in third place. Simran Goswami received the consolation prize.
Rupa Gupta, Joint Director and Jasleen Mohial, IQAC Coordinator, appreciated the students’ efforts. The event was conducted under the guidance of Suman Gupta and Jasleen Kour.
