REASI, Aug 29: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Reasi organized Inter-Zone District level sports Competition for Under-19 boys in the disciplines of KhoKho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Tug of War, Chess, Carrom, Rope Skipping, Badminton and Yoga at General Zorawar Singh Stadium and Indoor Sports Complex Reasi.
Sunita Bali Chief Education Officer, Reasi was the chief guest and Er. Tarun Verma JE (PHE Reasi) was the guest of honour. Over 238 boys drawn from Zone Chassana, Zone Mahore, Zone Arnas, ZonePouni and Zone Reasi of District Reasi participated in this tournament.
Dalbir Mehta Manger Sports Stadium Reasi, Ram Krishan Bhat, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Reasi, Kulwant Singh ZPEO Pouni and Ashok Kumar were present on the occasion.
The final results were Kho Kho U19- Zone Mahore beat Zone Pouni, Kabaddi – Zone Poni beat Zone Chassana.Volley ball- Zone Mahore beat Zone Chas Volleyball. Badminton Doubles – Bhawani Partap and Anil (Reasi) beat Ravjot Singh and Bhavik Sharma (Pouni). Badminton Singles- Bhawani (Reasi) beat Bhavik (Pouni).Rope Skipping U19 -Ravjot Singh (Pouni) Ist, Rohit Thakur (Arnas) 2nd and Raghuvash (Reasi) 3rd Chess – Yogesh (Arnas) beat Happy Singh (Reasi).Yoga- Ajay Kumar ( Reasi) ist, Varun Sharma( Pouni) 2nd, Tarun Bhardwaj (Reasi). Tug of War – Zone Pouni Beat Arnas Zone. Wrestling – 48kg Yasir Ahmed (Arnas)Ist, 50kg Vikas ( Chassana)Ist, 55kg Deepak Singh (Reasi) , 60kg, Gilchain Singh (Pouni)Ist, 63kg- Ranjit Singh (Reasi), 66kg, Angrez Singh (Chassana), 70kg Ajay Singh (Reasi) 74 kg Abhi Sharma (Pouni) Ist, 79kg, Narinder Singh (Arnas).
