JAMMU, Sept 7: Inter Zonal District Level Competitions, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi for under-19 girls concluded here at Government Higher Secondary School, Domana, today.
In Kho-Kho, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura defeated Bhalwal Marh by 4-2 in the summit clash. Earlier, in the first semis, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura beat Miran Sahib-RS Pura by 4-2 points, whereas in the second semifinal, Bhalwal-Marh smashed Jourian-Khour by 6-4.
In Kabaddi final, Satwari-Gandhi Nagar beat Akhnoor-Chowki Choura by 28-27 in a nail biting match. Earlier, in the first semifinal, Satwari-Gandhi Nagar beat Marh-Bhalwal Zone by 34-28 and in the second semis, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura defeated Khour-Jourian by 32-11.
In Volleyball, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura crushed Satwari-Gandhi Nagar by straight 2-0 sets with the score of 25-19 and 25-16. Earlier in the first semis, Akhnoor-Chowki Choura beat Jammu-Dansal by straight two sets and the score remained 25-12 and 25-17, whereas in the second semis, Satwari-Gandhi Nagar registered win over Bhalwal-Marh in 2-0 sets (25-06 and 25-16).
