JAMMU, Dec 19: The Inter-Zonal Display Your Talent 2025 concluded today at University of Jammu with a vibrant valedictory function, showcasing the creative potential of students from affiliated colleges and university departments. The festival featured 24 competitions including music, dance, theatre, fine arts, and literary events, with winners felicitated by dignitaries.
The valedictory function was graced by Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, as the chief guest. Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies, presided over the function, while Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu, attended as the special guest. The winners of all events were felicitated by the dignitaries. Other prominent attendees included Prof. Prakash C. Antahal, Dean Students Welfare; Prof. Monika Chadha, Chairperson CCC; Prof. Sarika Manhas, Co-Chairperson CCC; Prof. Yash Pal Sharma, Rector Udhampur Campus; Prof. Vinay Chauhan, Director TBS; Dr. Ravender Tickoo, Principal GCW, Parade, along with several senior functionaries of the university.
“Educational institutions shape individuals beyond academics,” remarked Ramesh Kumar, praising platforms like Display Your Talent for nurturing creativity and cultural awareness.
The festival followed a zonal format as envisioned by Vice Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai, with colleges grouped into five zones-Tawi, Pir-Panjal, Devika, Ravi and Chenab. Winners from zonal rounds advanced to the inter-zonal stage, making it a celebration of talent and healthy competition. Prof. Neelu Rohmetra highlighted that the event “symbolizes grassroots cultural engagement and nurtures confidence and creativity among students.”
Key competitions included Classical Dance, where Ajay Aggarwal (IMFA) bagged first, Creative Choreography, won by GCW Parade and Group Dance, with GCW Parade, JU Law Department and GCW Udhampur finishing in top three positions.
With over 1,500 participants and performances from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, the festival concluded as a grand platform promoting inclusivity, innovation and cultural excellence, with winners now preparing for the 39th Inter University North Zone Youth Festival at Chitkara University, Chandigarh.
