SAMBA, May 12: Inter-School Zonal Level Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls tournament in the disciplines of kho-kho and volleyball got underway, here today.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj and ZEPO Samba Rakesh Verma.
Chairman of the tournament, Narinder Singh, Principal of GHSS Boys Samba declared the tournament open.
In kho-kho Under-14 boys final, N V Dhalote lost to CMP Nud and the CMP Nud by 9 points, while in kho-kho Under-14 girls final, N V Dhalote got better of CMP Nud by 6 points..
In volleyball Under-14 boys final, GMS Sadoh prevailed over Shishu Niketan Hr Sec School Samba by 2-0 sets, while volleyball Under-17 boys final GHS Nanak Chack outplayed Kristu Jyoti Convent School School Samba by 2-0 sets
In volleyball Under-17 girls final, GHS Sarna lost to GHS (Girls) Bainglar by 2-1 sets.
