JAMMU, May 28: Inter-School Dance/Aerobics for Health/Modelling and Fancy Dress Competition was organized by Divya Kala Manch Jammu in collaboration with Project Model Higher Secondary School Janipur at J&K Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground, here today.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K State Legislative Assembly was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof. Maansi Sharma was the guest of honour.
Around 300 children participated in the event.
The first prize was bagged by the Global Institute Gharota with their performance depicting the occult side of the Indian culture, while Mubarak Mandi Girls School won the cash prize and trophy for the second place and GD Goenka claimed the third place.
The Unique Dancing Institute presented a somber presentation about the Indian Army working for the safety of the Indians while being engaged on the borders.
The Programme was participated by GD Goenka School, Oriental Academy, GGHS Mubarak Mandi, Vikas Academy, Project Model Hr. Sec School Janipur Jammu.
Among the budding Arya, a child prodigy was nominated with the special audience award for the outstanding budding artist.
Speaking on the occasion,Kavinder Gupta lauded the efforts of the organizers as constructive and aimed at the harmonious development of the youth.
Prof Mansi Sharma reiterated the role of the schools in catering to the needs of the children to fill the void created when the parents leave the responsibility of sharing their duties towards the children with the schools who are doing a great job in bringing the children at par with the international standards in performance and interpersonal relationships.
Vikrant Sharma presented vote of thanks, while Rajni Sharma conducted the proceedings of the programme.
