Inter-school competition ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ held

JAMMU, Nov 30: Delhi Public School Udhampur organized inter-school story telling competition for the students of class 5th “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ wherein 42 participants of drawn from various Schools of Chandigarh, Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Akhnoor participated.
The program began with the welcome of the chief guests, Dr JC Gupta, Pro Vice-Chairman of the School & Dr Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal Model Academy School Jammu and president Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex, while Rajesh Rathore, Principal Shri Ram Universal School Jammu was the guest of honour.
MD of the School, Vivek Gupta, Director Academics, Sucheta Gupta and Principal Dr Kunal Anand were also present during the event, whereas welcome address was presented by Shivani Koul, Head Mistress Junior School, followed by ceremony of lighting of lamp by all dignitaries.
Dr JC Gupta applauded the team DPS Udhampur for this unique concept and congratulated the team for organizing such level of competition. Dr Pramod K Srivastava in his address said that wining and loosing are the two sides of the same coin, but participation is more important, Rajesh Rathore enlightened everyone about the usage of Hindi language and its advantages.
The host School also presented cultural performances on ‘Aisa Desh Hai Mera’ and ‘O Re Chiraiya’ that was appreciated by all the guests. Renu Lathwal, TGT Hindi recited poem to boost the morale of the participants and Dr Kunal Anand inspired students by emphasizing importance of Hindi.
First position was secured by Aniket Sharma from APS Akhnoor, while 2nd position was shared by Kavya Kour of Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu and Anushka Meena, Delhi Public School Udhampur and 3rd position was jointly clinched by Niharika Sharman from APS Akhnoor and Sanvi Rajput from RMG International School, besides first consolation prize was shared by Tejas M Rao of ST Joseph School Chandigarh, Manan Malgooria of DPS Udhampur and Aarush Verma of APS Dhar Road Udhampur.
The 2nd consolation prize was shared by Samarthak Mahajan of Shri Ram Universal School Jammu and Shaurya Singh Rana from APS BD Bari.
