Inter Polytechnic Quiz, Symposium held

JAMMU, June 12: Government Polytechnic Jammu organized an Inter- Polytechnic Quiz and Symposium competition in the college.
In the competition, students from Government Polytechnic Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, NITS Polytechnic and IECS polytechnic participated.
On the occasion, the chief guest was Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the host institution who in his welcome speech motivated the students to participate in various co-curricular activities for their overall personality development and also awared the students about the importance of conservation of environment.
In Quiz competition, first prize was bagged by the team from NITS Polytechnic, Jammu comprising of Nitish Jasrotia, Vipan Mattoo and Saurabh Bavoria. The second prize was claimed by the team from Government Polytechnic, Jammu comprising of Manik Bhatia, Shubham Khajuria and Souhard Narang and the third prize was secured by the team from Government Polytechnic Kathua comprising of Subash Chander, Ajay Jasrotia and Ravinder Singh Katoch.
The jury members for the Quiz competition were Sakshi Kapahi, Khalid Sheikh and Rishabh Gupta, Lecturers of the institute.
In the symposium 14 students from various Polytechnics participated. The theme of the Symposium was “Use of Technology for Conservation of Environment”. The first prize was won by Nahida Malik from Government Polytechnic, Jammu, while second prize was won by Munish Kumar from Government Polytechnic, Kathua and third prize was shared by Arjun Singh from Government Polytechnic, Jammu and Diksha Koul from IECS Polytechnic, Jammu.
The judges from the Symposium competition were Vandana Chib, Deepika Sharma and Sandeep Kour.
Among others present were Er Inderjeet Singh, Workshop Superintendent, Er Harinder Arora, HoD Architecture, Er Zia-ul- Haq, HoD Computer Science, staff and students of the participating institutes.
