JAMMU, Mar 6: Department of Youth Services and Sports hosted Inter-District UT level competitions in the disciplines of Rifle and Pistol shooting for boys and girls sections in the all age groups at Shooting Hall Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The championship was inaugurated by Director Youth Services and Sports, Gazanfar Ali who was the chief guest of the event. The championship is being organised under the overall supervision of District Sports Officer Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The competition is being officiated by departmental experts of the event, while the ZPEO’s, PEMs, PETs and other committee members have been deployed for smooth and successful conduct of the competitions.
The chief guest was escorted by the officials of the Directorate YSS during the event. While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest advised the organisers of the event to promote best shooters for next levels of competition, so that the best shooters can perform at national and international levels.
