*Kulgam defeats Shopian in inaugural match

DODA, May 20: District Kulgam today defeated District Shopian by 25 points in the inaugural match of the State Level Inter District Under-17 boys Kabaddi Tournament that commenced here today.
Organised by Youth Services and Sports Department, the tournament was declared open by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Imam Din.
The tournament is being organized under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, Navin Agarwal and under the guidance of Ved Parkash Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu and S.R Kotwal District Youth Services & Sports Officer Doda.
Speaking on the occasion after interacting with the participating teams, ADC Doda lauded the efforts of the Youth Services and Sports Department for organizing such a state level inter District tournament in the District. He congratulated all the participating teams of the 20 Districts of the State.
The matches were officiated by Mujahid Hussain, Vikram Singh, Aftab Alam, Tariq Ahmed, Bharat Bushan, Ajaz Ahmed, Vijay Kumar, Mohinder Singh, Suraj Kumar, Afroaz Ahmed, Anjeel Kumar, K.L Thakur, Rajinder Kumar and Balwan Singh.
Others present on the occasion were Ashok Kumar District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kulgam, Tanveer Ahmed Principal HSS Boys Doda, Aman Chouhan, S K Padha, Davinder Kumar, KK Kotwal and Mool Raj ZEPOs.
