JAMMU, Nov 24: Inter-collegiate Kabaddi Tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, got underway at PV Sindhu Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu, here today.
GDC Kathua beat GDC Kunjwani by 35 points, while GDC Marheen trounced GDC Sunderbani by 5 points and GDC Akhnoor got better of Trikuta Degree College by 31 points, besides, GDC Chenani trounced GDC Jindrah by 8 points, whereas GDC Thanamandi beat GDC Vijaypur by 20 points and GDC Doda beat GDC Udhampur by 15 points.
GDC Samba defeated GDC Bhaderwah by 21 points, whereas GDC Khour trounced GDC Rajouri by 24 points and GDC Karkiyal beat GDC Ramnagar by 2 points, besides GDC Marh defeated GDC Billawar by 1 point, while PG Department got better of GDC Basohli by 21 points.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of experts including Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Ankush Gupta, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Harpreet Singh and Gagan Kumar.
In the Volleyball (women) section, GDC Ramnagar beat GDC Samba by 2-0 sets (25-7, 25-13) and GCW Parade defeated GDC Kathua by 2-0 sets (25-12, 25-20) in the quarterfinals matches.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of experts including Mulkraj Sharma, Amit Sharma, Shubam Sharma, Bhawana Sharma and Vikas Karlopia.
