JAMMU, Jan 18: Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Men) Tournament 2015-16 got underway at Jammu University Sports ground, here today.
Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu inaugurated the tournament and interacted with the players and advised them to play the game in true spirit.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rakesh Puri, Mahesh Sharma, Nariyani Jamwal, Sandeep Sharma, Balbir Singh Chib, Amit Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Ashwani, Ravish Vaid and Vikas Karlopia.
In today’s matches, GDC Paloura defeated GDC Bishnah by 20 points (40-20), while GGM Science College got better of GGM Science College by 17 points (50-33).
The matches were played under the supervision of Prof. Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, while the matches were officiated by Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Raki Sharma, and Gagan Kumar, In-charge, Kabaddi Tournament.
