JAMMU, Nov 7: Inter-Colle-giate Hockey (Men) Tournament 2017-18, being organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu commenced at the University Hockey Field, here.
In the 1st match of the day, GDC Kathua defeated PG Law & Sciences by four goals to nil (4-0). Gopal Singh scored two goals for the Kathua in the 3rd and 8th minutes of the match.
Sumit Sharma netted a goal in the 15th minute of the game. Jagdeep Singh scored a goal in the 27th minute.
In the 2nd match, MBS College of Engineering and Technology beat PG Arts team by 5-2 goals.
Navleen Singh (5th minute), Ravdeep Singh (18th minute) and Sarabjot Singh (12th, 45th and 59th minutes) scored goals for the MBS team.
Gourav Raina (39th & 40th minutes) scored both the goals for the PG team.
In the third match of the day, Govt MAM College team beat GDC Hiranagar by 3-0 goals.
Sahil Chib (3rd minute) and Pawandeep Singh (20th and 21st minute) scored goals for the MAM team.
Present on the occasion were Prof. Ashok Kumar, Sudhir Kumar, Pawan Singh Bhau, Ramesh Magotra, Sumnesh Sharma, Anil Kumar, Arjun Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Gagan Kumar, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Jai Bharat and Vinay Manhas.
The matches were officiated by Ranveet Singh, Motinderpal Singh, Harmeek Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh Reen, Harvinderpal Singh and PD Singh.
