JAMMU, Sept 11: The Inter-Collegiate Cricket (M) Tournament 2019-20, being organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu began at University ground, here today.
The Tournament was inaugurated by Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu in the presence of Vinay Manhas (Physical Director) GDC Kilhotrian, Dr Shakeel Ahmed (Physical Director) GDC Mendhar, Rekha Devi (Physical Director) GDC Gool and Sapna Choudhary (Incharge) Trikuta Degree College.
GDC Mendhar beat GDC Kilhotrian by 8 wickets. GDC Kilhotrian scored 73 runs in 14 overs, Mouseem scored 19 runs from GDC Kilhotrian. From GDC Mendhar Dilshad and Sohail took 3 wickets each, while Aqib bagged 2 wickets.
In reply, GDC Mendhar chased the target in 8.5 overs by losing 2 wickets. Sharoz top scored with 41 runs, while Yakim contributed 15 runs.
In another match, MIET beat GDC Gool by 33 runs. MIET scored 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Kewal Krishan top scored with 46 runs, while Faizan and Krishna contributed 35 and 26 runs for GDC Gool.
Tanvir and Imran Rashid took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. GDC Gool scored 127 runs t in 19.5 overs. Aquib Rasool scored 31 runs , while Amir contributed 28 runs. For MIET Waheed, Mir Faizan and Akif took 2 wickets each.
In yet another match, Trikuta Degree College defeated Dogra Degree College by 28 runs. Trikuta Degree College scored 175 runs in 20 overs, while in reply, Dogra Degree College scored 147 runs in 17.3 overs.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Ashok Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Suresh Singh, Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rahul Kumar and Raj Kumar Bakshi.
