JAMMU, Nov 16: Government Degree College (GDC), Ramnagar in collaboration with Science and Technology Department organised an Inter-College Symposium and Essay Writing Competitions on “Energy Crisis and Potential of Renewable Sources of Energy in India”, in which students from various colleges participated enthusiastically.
Prof Kewal Gupta, convener of organizing committee presented the welcome address and highlighted the key features of the programme.
Prof Kusum Gupta, Principal of the college, who was the chief guest, while speaking said that the college will organize a large number of scientific and other related activities in near future so that the students may know about the Science.
Sanjay Kharoo, District co-ordinator, Science and Technology Department, Udhampur, divulged about the details of the scheme wherein activities are conducted throughout the year for the student community in particular and common masses in general.
In Symposium, Pankaj Sharma of GDC Udhampur, Tanvi of GDC Ramnagar and Pooja Mahajan of GDC Udhampur claimed first, second and third positions respectively, while, in Essay Writing Competition, Ajay Kumar, Ajay Sharma and Tanabi emerged winners.
At the end, Prof Pankaj Sharma, presented vote of thanks.
