UDHAMPUR, Nov 7: Govt. Degree College Udhampur in collaboration with Sports Authority of India organized Inter-College Sports Quiz Competition in which teams from different Colleges including the host College participated.
The quiz started with welcome address by the Principal of the College, Dr SK Magotra who spoke in detail about the importance of games and sports and thanked Ajit Singh, Deputy Director Sports Authority of India for organizing this competition in the College.
Deputy Director Sports Authority of India also addressed the participants and students and deliberated in detail about the scope and career in various games and sports with special reference to J&K.
The quiz was conducted by Ajit Singh and Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra.
In the competition, the first, second and third positions were bagged by Govt. Degree College Udhampur, Bhasker Degree College Udhampur and Bhartiya College of Udhampur respectively, whereas Govt. Degree College Majalta won consolation prize.
Besides certificates, track suits and mementoes were distributed among the participating teams.
The vote of thanks was presented by Dr Udhey Bhanu, Convener Sports.
