Inter-College Poster Making, Presentation Competition held

UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Science Club of GCW organized an Inter-College Poster Making and Presentation Competition on the theme “Save Wildlife-Save Environment”.
The event was coordinated and sponsored by Dr Sanjay Kharoo, District Coordinator, J&K State Science, Technology and Innovation Council, District Office Udhampur.
Around 24 students from GGM Science College Jammu, GDC Udhampur, GCW Udhampur and Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur participated in the event.
Dr Bhavnaish Chand, Convener, Science Club of GCW Udhampur apprised the participants about the theme and its importance.
Addressing the participants, Prof KS Koushal, Principal of the college and chief guest of the event said that humans are continually expanding and developing, leading to an invasion of wild life habitats.
First, second and third prizes in the competition were clinched by Basaat Choudhary, Anjana Kumari and Surbhi Mahajan respectively, all from GCW Udhampur. Consolation prizes were shared by Shubham Sharma and Aman Saini from GGM Science College Jammu and Shivangi Verma from GCW Udhampur respectively.
Dr Anil Khajuria from Zoology Department GDC Udhampur, Prof BP Singh from Botany Department GCW Udhampur and Prof Sumita Rao from Zoology Department GCW Udhampur acted as judges.
In the end, prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners by the Principal of the College, Convener of Science Club Dr Bhavnaish Chand and the jury members.
