BARAMULLA, Sept 22: Inter- Club Football Tournament, organised by Big Blues Football Club Baramulla concluded at Degree College ground, here today.
In the final, Team Red defeated Team Green by a solitary goal in the summit clash to win the title by (1-0).
The winners and runners-up teams were felicitated by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion.
The players were also honoured for good performances in the tournament.
The chief guest and the guests of honour were the veteran Footballers of District Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, veteran footballer, Mr Shafqat threw light on the history and glory of Degree College ground Baramulla and said that the development of jogger’s path is an immediate need at the venue.
Joint Director Planning Kupwara, Imtiyaz Ahmad, who is a veteran footballer assured the gathering that DDC Baramulla will be approached with regard to restoration of past glory of the historic ground.
