JAMMU, Mar 6: Inter Battalion /Group Centres Lawn Tennis Competitions, organized by Central Reserve Police Force, concluded at GC CRPF Bantalab, here today.
PS Ranpise, IGP Jammu Sector was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, whereas Pradeep Chandra DIG, Devender Yadav DIG, Ashok Samayal DIG, Anil Kr. Chaturvedi DIG, Rajendra Prasad, DIG, PC Gupta Commandant Group Centre Bantalab, Sunand Kumar Commandant, Dhirendra Verma, Commandant-38 Bn, SK Linda, Commandant-84 Bn and Kanhaiya Singh Second in Command Jammu Sector were also present with their teams.
A total of eight teams of Group Centres Bantalab, Range Hiranagar and Jammu Sector participated. During the closing ceremony winner and runner up teams were awarded with trophies by the chief guest.
In open double category, Rajesh Kumar, DC Varun Vaid, AC were runner up while Sunand Kumar, Commandant and Kanhaiya Singh-2nd in Commandant were the winners, whereas in veteran double, Devender Yadav, DIG and Sunand Kumar, Commandant were the winners while PC Gupta, Commandant and Rajesh Kumar, DC were runner-up.
In veteran single category, Devender Yadav, DIG and Rajesh Kumar, DC were declared runner-up and winner respectively, whereas in team events double, Sunand Kumar, Commandant and Kanhaiya Singh, 2-I/C clinched winner trophy while Rajesh Kumar, DC and Varun Vaid, AC secured runner-up trophy.
The event was organized under the leadership of Rajendra Prasad DIG Jammu Range CRPF, whereas PC Gupta, (Commandant), Rajesh Kumar (Dy Comdt), Lakhmi Chand, (DC/Min), Ajay Sharma (Asst Comdt.), Rajesh Kumar (Asstt Comdt.), Harish Kumar (Asstt. Comdt.), Umesh Kumar, (Asstt Comdt/Min), Rajesh Kumar (Asst Comdt/Min), Jaswinder Singh (Asst Comdt/Min) and other Gazetted Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans lend their support to organise the event.
