AKHNOOR, July 20: Inter-Army Public Schools Basketball Tournament concluded at Army Public School Akhnoor, here today.
12 teams from 6 Army Public Schools including APS Akhnoor, APS Rakhmuthi, APS Nagrota, APS Dhar Road, APS Udhampur and APS Srinagar participated in the tournament.
The tournament was inaugurated by Sumita Dey.
Brig SK Dey, Chairman APS Akhnoor while interacting with the players of all teams advised them to show spirit of sportsmanship during play.
In girls section, APS Akhnoor claimed winners trophy, while APS Srinagar bagged the runners-up trophy.
In boys section, APS Udhampur was declared winner, while APS Nagrota got the runners-up trophy.
Trophies were distributed among the winners and runners-up teams by KCS Mehta, Principal APS Akhnoor.
He complemented all the teams and coaches for their cooperation and sportsman spirit during the tournament.
The matches were officiated by Naresh, Shubham, Abhishek , Moon Stephen and Balwant Singh.
