Indian Mountaineering Foundation to organize to organize series of expeditions

JAMMU, Mar 25: Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi, the apex body for surface adventure sports in the country, will be organizing a number of mountaineering expeditions, both for men and women, during the year 2017.
Only qualified and competent climbers up to the age of 29 years who have successfully completed at least Advance course in mountaineering and have participated in some mountaineering expeditions and are presently physically and mentally robust are eligible for selection for various expeditions to be sponsored and organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation during Pre monsoon and Post monsoon periods.
Whereas 3 expeditions to Satopant peak (7075m), Panwali Dwar (6663m), and Hanuman Tibba (5867m) planned to be organized during the pre monsoon period and 2 expeditions to Trishul (7120m) and Kun(7077m) to be organized during the post monsoon period shall be organized jointly by Indian Mountaineering Foundation and Indian Air Force, the other post monsoon expedition to Kanchenjunga parikarma will be conducted jointly with the Government of Sikkim  and remaining 2 expeditions to  formidable peaks in J&K Brahma-1(6416m) and Sickle Moon(6574m), both post monsoon ventures, are scheduled to be organized jointly with  the Government of J&K.
